The project assembles a powerhouse creative team with seven acclaimed directors and six animation studios. Directors include Tetsuaki Watanabe (“Blue Lock”), Nobuyuki Takeuchi (“Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?”), and Kazuaki Terasawa (“The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2”). Animation duties are split between ZEXCS, Lapin Track, GRAPH77, 100studio, Studio Kafka, and P.A.WORKS
The eight-episode anthology spans multiple genres, from post-apocalyptic survival in “A Couple Clucking Chickens Were Still Kickin’ in the Schoolyard” to sci-fi romantic comedy in “Love is Blind.” Other entries include “Sasaki Stopped a Bullet,” exploring adolescent emotions; “Shikaku,” following an unhinged assassin’s twisted romance; and “Mermaid Rhapsody,” a touching story between a boy and mermaid centered on an underwater piano.
Additional stories tackle gender identity in “Woke-Up-as-a-Girl Syndrome,” sibling destiny in “Nayuta of the Prophecy,” and artistic rivalry in “Sisters.”
The voice cast includes notable names like Kensho Ono, Kana Hanazawa, Tomokazu Sugita, and Junichi Suwabe across the various episodes.
