The third-person shooter mecha game Armored Core was first released in 1997. Since then, the FromSoftware series has grown in popularity, and the most recent entry, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, won the award for Best Action Game of 2023 at the Game Awards that year. On March 18, PlayStation Premium subscribers can play the game that launched the series, along with two other Armored Core titles.

PlayStation Plus is Sony’s version of Xbox Game Pass, and it offers subscribers a large and constantly expanding library of games. There are three PlayStation Plus tiers — Essential ($10 a month), Extra ($15 a month) and Premium ($18 a month) — and each gives subscribers access to games. However, only Extra and Premium tier subscribers can access the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.

Here are all the games PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can access on March 18. You can also check out the games that PlayStation added to the service in February, such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Sony

A war has driven humanity underground, and now corporations are trying to reclaim the surface. Originally released on the first PlayStation, you play as a Raven, a mercenary piloting a mecha known as an Armored Core. You’ll carry out a variety of missions, earn money and customize your mech to create the best fighting machine the world has seen. Your targets are verified. Commence hostilities.

Punch, kick and grapple your way to the top in the latest MMA fighting game. But it’s not going to be easy. Your character can sustain significant injuries, rendered in more detail than in previous games, in each fight. And if your character’s eyes swell shut or the injuries are too much, a doctor will stop the match.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Sony

Dash through the Persia-inspired land and fight mythological creatures in the latest entry in the Prince of Persia franchise. In this 2D side-scrolling platformer, you play as the sword-wielding prodigy Sargon who can control time and perform acrobatic stunts to navigate a dangerous world. It’s up to you to use your powers to rescue a kidnapped prince and restore order to the land.

Other games coming to PS Plus catalog

The above titles are a few that PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can play on March 18, and those subscribers will be able to play these games, too.

*Premium only.
