After my dad died, his parents (my grandparents) DEMANDED some of his cremains. . .

I’m a therapist. I hope you felt comfort they could feel with you. They did not cry out of sadness for you, but often we cry for your strength or our own memories. I’ve cried four times in session. I’ve cried more outside of session.

Sometimes, emotions from the day are overwhelming. Some days, we have a lot in our personal lives that don’t leave a lot of room. The times I’ve cried are for grief of lost loved ones. We are humans experiencing humanity with you. That’s why we do this.

You are not alone on this trip.
