Mom visits her 15-year-old son instead of attending her other child’s wedding day: ‘My mom… told me the world doesn’t revolve around me’ – FAIL Blog

This newlywed isn’t convinced that their mom actually had a good excuse for missing their wedding.

Some parents aren’t very subtle about the ways they play favorites with their kids. Oftentimes, it’s quite obvious: the parent will make one kid’s favorite meals, drive them anywhere they want to go, or lavish them with toys and presents. The other kids will be treated okay, but they won’t get the same amount of attention. This is an open secret in some families, while others just embrace the dynamic and will openly share that one kid is the favorite.

This person was agitated when their Mom played favorites on a very important day in their life: their wedding day. Instead of being at the ceremony, she decided to help her 15-year-old son out after he got into an accident. That seems reasonable enough, but the original poster, u/Designer-Anybody8043, writes that the accident happened a few days prior to the wedding ceremony. And their brother was basically fine at that point… but that didn’t deter Mom from staying by his side. You can read the full story below and determine to yourself if this person did the right thing in the aftermath of the wedding drama.
