When our beloved felines cross the rainbow bridge, it feels like the end of the world. Their perfect meow, the way they nuzzled against our chins in the middle of the night, and the memory of their claws click-clacking against our floors are often too difficult to remember without shedding a hooman tear. No catto is replaceable, but rather, every catto that we let into our families create their own meow-meries, oftentimes filling the feline-shaped hole we might have since losing a dear cat of ours.
In this next story, a cat pawrent recently lost her “soul cat”. A few days later, an orange kitten with a paw deformity, who is pawssibly sick, stumbles upon her doorstep.
